Tractors WorldTraveling northward calls for stop at John Deere land in Kefar Tavor.John Deere Land is a realization of a vision of Yossi Simchoni ,an enterpeneur and industrialist who was born in Kibbutz Geva in Emek Izrael. He was fascinated with tractors regardless shape and size since very early stage of his life. His love to tractors led him, since 2006, to collect old John Deere tractors and equipment and rebuilding them. Every item on the site went through a “face lifting” with special attention to details. Special attention was given to the final finish and touch of each tractor. It goes without saying that all the tractors are in working condition and all of them drove by its own motor into the 1,200 square meters. Tractor World located in the beautiful Kefar Tavor. The Museum slogan is: Learning by experience and excitement.Through the World of Tractors that is presented in the Museum, visitors areinvited to learn by exiting experience about the Agriculture settlement and settlers of Emek Izrael and about the agriculture history of Israel. At the Museum the visitors are introduced to the old and new agriculture machinery implements, and understand the cycle of the plants and the strong connection between “man and land” Visiting the Museum includes several attractions:• “See and climb” on unique collection of John Deere tractors and implements.• Driving John Deere active simulator on the face of the moon. • Recreation driving and harvesting simulation in the projection room, while sitting in shaking John Deere original tractors seats. • Traveling for about half an hour in a “Carriage Train” through the fields of Kefar Tavore, to see the seasonal crops. • Sliding from a 7 meter height into big Cotton Picker Basket full with cotton. • Observing films and presentation about the agriculture implementation in Israel. • Exhibition of photos from the old days and the beginning of the tractors and machinery era. • A walking tour with a guide who enlightens the visitors with stories about each tractor and his history. And; if you are hungry, you are invited to spend some time in John Deere Café which serves Breakfast and Lunch and the excellent chocolate and French cakes made on site by Toket. Groups and families can use the theater for private sessions and shows. The visit takes at least an hour and half. The site is indoor and is open all year round.
